From Go Rope Clothing…This is Carlos. Each year, Carlos runs the chutes for the Bob Feist Invitational as well as the Reno Rodeo Invitational Team Roping. Some might consider this a menial job, but Carlos treats it with the utmost importance and intensity. He pays special attention to keep the chute greased and operating smoothly and makes sure that the steers are standing properly so ropers have the best chance to compete. As the day wears on, it’s not unusual to see Carlos drop down to the ground in between runs to bust out 5 push-ups, or even do some “high knees” to stay sharp.
Carlos is a perfect example of putting maximum effort into the task at hand, whatever it may be. Over the course of two days, Carlos will open the headgate for over 1200 team roping runs. We’d like to take a moment to recognize this man’s hard work and enthusiasm, and encourage everyone out there to “be a Carlos.”
